built by our off shore development team meet our client’s requirements.
Our accounts are worth up to £250,000 annually. Key tasks include:
- Initial requirements analysis with
the sales team to design a solution within the client’s budget that

deep understanding of the internet and related technologies as well
as internet marketing and strategy.
- Workshoping with clients to gain
understanding of what they require of our product.

that the client understands exactly what they are getting for their

specification followed by client review.
- Acting as the key link between the

Functional Specifications into Technical Specifications that a
developer can code to.
- Subjecting the end product to User
Acceptance testing.
- In my role as Usability specialist I
was called upon to analyse customers websites using a tool box of
techniques including user testing and Heuristic Evaluation,
sometimes giving a written report and sometimes a presentation.I
would also conduct card sorts to establish a familiar Information
Architecture for the end users of the site.

2000 – July 2006
Business Analyst, LateRooms.Com
LateRooms.Com is one of the most successful companies in the UK, Ranked
16th in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100.
I joined the company in January 2000 when
LateRooms had only 4 employees and zero turnover and played a crucial
role from the start in developing business and refining our business
processes.
Today, with 200+ employees, LateRooms has
a £10 million turnover and is reported in the press to be worth over
£100M. It launched a complete brand and design overhaul in March 2006 in
which I played a central role as the sole Business Analyst responsible
for the overall project.
Key achievements in the 6 years of my
tenure include the following:
- Complete involvement in the
rebranding and redesign of the website, launched April 2006,
including observing our focus groups and market research, conducting
interviews to gather requirements from stakeholders within the
company, and producing a functional specification for the site.
- Design, implementation and support
of our hotel extranet system. The extranet is used by all of
Laterooms’ 12,000 hotels and the unique information submitted
through the extranet is a key part of our USP.
- Designing and managing our call
centre from conception. Now operating with 40 seats and 150
employees speaking 5 languages. Design of the intranet for call
centre operatives to use.
- Modelling and optimisation work
relating to call handling and our pay-per-click advertising
campaigns. This included using analytical techniques to model our
call centre then building simulations to run experiments in call
volumes and staff numbers on.
